The project entitled “Factory Automation System (FAS)” aims at automation of various processes of a food product manufacturing company. Current manual system that is employed is quite inadequate it only makes the process more difficult and hard. Main purpose of this software is to reduce manpower and paper work and provide the security from unauthorized access. It helps in producing different kinds of report required in organization for different managerial aspects.
The projects aims at Business process automation, i.e. we have tried to computerize various processes of a food products manufacturing company. As the company deals in the sector of manufacturing, purchasing as well as selling we have computerizes their inventory and stock maintenance. FAS is very flexible software and can be used in any for any manufacturing and selling based company having little or no changes. In this software we have also tried to provide all the account related facilities which help company in preparing many account statements without using any specialize accounting package. This system is Menu-Driven and embodies distinctive features like accuracy, consistency of information, conciseness, integrity of data, flexibility and security because this system works for more than one system such as maintenance of stocks of different kinds of items and products with which the company deals. The system is capable of monitoring the current stock status at any instance of time.
