The project is developed to computerize the manual process of sales management named “Sales Information System”. In this project prescribed modules take into consideration and a sincere efforts has been made by me to analyze its working and efficiency in the context of occupants of Sales Information System.The main purpose of this project is to provide a user friendly environment for a computerization operation of sales and purchase .

Some of the features of the proposed project are as follows:
•The whole system is menu driven.
•This project provides facility of storing and maintaining details of customer, dealers.
•It also maintains some information of inventory management such as item details, item stock, purchase details etc.
•Detail of any individual can be searched by giving its id.

Project abstract
Introduction

The system going to be designed must fulfill the following needs of the Sales Management:
Give details of customers and items, Modify or delete the information of the items and customers, Add new customers and item information.
The software must have a user-friendly interface and appealing appearance to ease the work.
The system should be able to generate various types of reports such as company report, dealer report, customer report, item report, system user report, and purchase order report etc.
Reduce paper work in the sales office, increased operational staff’s efficiency, Reduced manpower

Operational feasibility
User can easily understand the graphical user interface of the project and controls. User can work with different shortcut Keys of the Keyboard. For the most commonly performed tasks direct command buttons are also provide that gives user ease of work and a very friendly environment. There is sufficient support for the project from users. It will work on any Windows platform without producing any problems and errors. The users are very much exited about new system and have no kind of threat in their mind and seem to be much confident and ready to maximize the profit of organization using new system.
Technical feasibility
Our Project is technical feasible, because of its low system requirements and hardware independence. It can run on any Version of Windows like Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP. It can run on any machine that is having minimum system requirements for Visual Basic runtime libraries.Sales Information System is completely written in Visual Basic 6.0 Oracle 9i as back-end tool for data storage.

Pentium (III/IV) .
At least 128 MB of Ram.
CD drive (Required for Installation).
Disk Space – 5 MB
MINIMUM SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Any Version of Microsoft Windows (higher than 95).

Economic feasibility
As our Project “Sales Information System” is technical feasible therefore it is very cost effective and can be run on any computer, hence economical feasible. The management of organization is ready to invest the money in purchasing the hardware needed to deploy the computerized system and they think that this investment is going to be very much beneficial in long run.
